Evdokia was born in Greece and she has been working as a designer since 2002. Before her formal education in Design, she has been trained mainly as a performer covering a different range of dance: ballet, contemporary,
and competitive ballroom dancing.
After completing a BA degree in Dance in Greece, Evdokia spent the following years gaining experience as a dancer, a dance teacher, as well as a costume designer and maker.
In 2001, she moved to London to study her MA in Physical Theatre at the University of Surrey and
Royal Holloway University of London, from where she graduated in 2002 with merit.
In 2004 she graduated from Laban (City Unibersity) where she completed her
MA in Costume, Set & Light Design for Dance.
In 2005 she was short-listed for the Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design in London.
Since 2004 she has been working both as a choreographer and scenographer, and her work was presented in Greece, Cyprus, London, Vienne, Luxemburg, Berlin, Belgrade, Prague, Milan, PuertoRico & many more.
In London, she collaborated for 5 years with Futures Theatre Company, while for 10 years she designed the costumes for Bird College. In 2011 she was the technical coordinator of Spider International Artistic project at Kakogiannis foundation.
Since 2005 till today, she also collaborates with the British artist and researcher Ben Judd, as a choreographer and designer.
For 7 years she designed set, costume and lighting for all the performances of a post doc research on Laban and Aristotle impact on theatre in collaboration with the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and Michael Cacoyiannis Foundation in Athens. Her latest collaborations were with National Opera & National Theatre of Greece & Athens & Epidaurus Festival.
Today she works both as a freelance Designer as well as dance teacher & choreographer in Greece and abroad. She continues to investigate through her collaborations, the transformable costumes and sets for dance and theatre.
